Make the Cut ModCloth Contest

ModCloth is launching its second Make the Cut Contest of the year!  Remember when we talked about it in February?  No?  Well, it's a fashion design contest, and in this edition, they're giving contestants a template on which to create a print pattern for a scarf.  The talented winner will have their design produced by and sold on ModCloth, plus they'll receive a $500 prize!  But first, the top 10 submissions will be hosted on the Be the Buyer page, where the community will vote for their faves.  Design submissions will be accepted now until Friday, 5/30, and the voting begins on Monday, 6/9.  Official contest rules can be found here.

ModCloth Spring-Time To Shine Contest

Share your spring style with ModCloth’s ‘Spring-Time to Shine’ Contest, and you could win a $50 gift certificate!  Entering is simple -- just snap a photo of yourself in your freshest spring ensemble and upload to the Style Gallery. Outfits do not need to feature ModCloth (although it's encouraged!), and you can submit as many entries as your little heart desires.  (I just uploaded four entries in, like, four minutes.  It's so quick and easy!  You can check them out here).  Two winners will be chosen and featured by ModCloth.  This contest is open internationally through 1pm PT on 4/28.  See the ModCloth blog for more details.

Prints Charming ModCloth Contest

Happy Monday everyone!  Let's start the week with some fun news, shall we?  I'm here to announce the ModCloth Make The Cut contest, where you can win $500 for designing a new fabric print to be sewn into ModCloth's next Air of Adorable dress.  The program is a recurring design contest that invites the ModCloth Community to design garments, graphics, or fabric prints.  Its main purpose is to further their mission of democratizing fashion by producing clothing designed by its community members. YOU can become a designer at ModCloth!

How does the contest work?

Entrants will design a new print for a private label dress silhouette that is already being produced!  After the submission period, the ModCloth Creative Team will narrow down the submissions to 20, which will be sent to the guest judge, Amanda Needham, Costume Designer for Portlandia. After Amanda has chosen the 10 finalists, they will be posted on the Be The Buyer page for voting. There will be a week for the Community to vote, then ModCloth will contact the winner and update the contest announcement with the big news!

(If you don't know ModCloth and their plethora of cute, stylish clothes & accessories, then you might be living under a rock. But seriously, you should definitely go check them out). From now till 3/18 (7am PST) you can check out their style gallery, upload a photo, love images, and share looks. The image that gets the hightest community-generated love will win a $100 giftcard to ModCloth!
