Me, Myself, & I

{target tee (similar) | UO skirt (cute option) | i heart ronson jacket (similar) | steve madden boots | asos socks | havok necklace & earrings | fossil watch}

I feel so very me in this outfit.  A pocketed skirt, stripes, and boots - it's the kind of outfit I feel best in.  If we're really being honest, I actually prefer pajama pants, bunny slippers, and a ponytail held up by an 8 year old scrunchie, but, you know...you guys would get bored seeing me in that fancy get-up day after day, so I change things up a bit.  For you.

In other news, I'm linking here today.

Bright, Sunshiney Day

{old navy tee  //  skirt: UO cute option 1, option 2 //  sandals: o'neill, similar  //  scarf: mandee  //  bracelets: f21, similar 1, 2}

This outfit is a repeat.  I actually wore it out for my birthday this past Monday but I was having so much fun that I didn't want to leave the action for a photo shoot.
So I did the next best thing - I wore the outfit again.  Just 4 days later.
(I never claimed to be hygienic.)

It was the perfect get-up for sitting in an outdoor beer garden soaking up the sun, enjoying German beer, and sharing lots of laughs and soft pretzels with friends.
As for having to swing my legs over the family-style picnic benches every time I wanted to get up from the table, well, perhaps it was a little less than perfect.
Still, 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

Check out where I'm partying today.

Going Places

{cardi, tee: old navy  //  skirt: asos  //  belt, necklace: delias  //  tights: payless  //  boots: steve madden  //  watch: sprout, via pure citizen  //  earrings: handmade}

I  just realized that every time I take photos in this location, it's because I'm on my way out.
This is my front yard which is conveniently located right next to the driveway.  It's practically on my way to the car.  I mean, for just 10 more steps I could have taken photos here instead (which I happen to find a little more interesting).
Nothing like spending 10+ hours a week on a blog to make you realize how lazy you are.

Grandma

{cardi: f21  //  tee: old navy  //  skirt: UO  //  tights: payless  //  oxfords: target  //  earrings: handmade}

Wearing this, I'm just a pair of bifocals and an AARP membership away from being a grandma.
The cardigan, the oxfords, the tights - I can just imagine (stylish) little old ladies puttering around in more modest and less colorful versions of this outfit.
But I love it!  I love the colors together and I love looking like I should be working in a library, politely shushing the young'uns when they get too rowdy.

Hello

{sweater: target  //  skirt & knee highs: asos  //  scarf: h&m  //  boots: payless  //  earrings: claire's}

So, we had another scorcher yesterday.  And by scorcher, I mean it was 63 degrees and warm and got me working up a sweat just strolling around town in this outfit.
But I'm not complaining because:
My hunny bunny had the day off and we went to a sweet little town where we walked, window shopped, talked, and laughed, then stopped for dinner at a delicious vegan restaurant.
He even patiently waited for me as I scoured all of the sale racks at Urban Outfitters, then plopped down on the couch near the dressing room to give me his opinion on everything I tried on before buying me some pretty new things (on extra-wonderful-super-sale of course).
Isn't he the greatest?

(Un)dressing for the Weather

{jacket: target  //  top: old navy  //  vintage kerchief: gramma's  //  skirt & knee highs: asos  //  boots: steve madden intyce  //  watch: roxy  //  bangles: india, gifted  //  bracelet: f21}

We have been having some seriously unpredictable weather here.  A snowstorm and freezing temperatures one week, and 65 degree weather another (I'll happily take the warm temperatures, thankyouverymuch).
I headed out in a jacket, as I am wont to do given my habit of never checking the forecast and consequently wind up wearing articles of clothing inappropriate for the day's elements.  I was delighted-slash-irritated to find that I was beginning to sweat a bit in just the short one-block walk from my house to this spot.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go put on some expensive suede boots to wear in the rain, and lay out my sun dress and flip flops for the chilly 40 degree day tomorrow.
